Howdy! You’re invited to join a warm community of foster, adoptive, and kinship care families as we converge at beautiful Lake Whitney State Park for a weekend of outdoor fun, fellowship, and adventure. During the weekend, you’ll be able to go at your own pace and jump in on any activities that sound like fun to you and your family. Please be sure to read through the following information before purchasing tickets.

Lodging Options: Choose the option that best fits your family. Each pass covers the cost for two adults/parents and the children in your household and includes your meals, snacks, activities, campsite, and state park entry fees. Some options require additional costs and requirements

Tent sites ($200) include a picnic table, water hook up, 50 amp hook up, and a fire ring. They are near restrooms with showers as well. Bring your own tents & bedding.

Screen shelters ($250) include a fire ring, screen shelter with a cement floor, and picnic table. There are no beds in the shelters, so you'll need to bring your own bedding/padding. There are limited available shelters- first come, first served.

>RV/Camper/Trailer Campsite ($250) If you want to bring your own camper or trailer, select the corresponding family ticket. These sites include a picnic table, water hookup, sewer hookup, 50 amp hookup, and a fire ring.

If your family needs an additional hand (grandparent, nurse, etc.) beyond the two adults included in your family pass, you may add on the Additional Adult/Caregiver ticket for $35

We don't want the price of attendance to be a barrier for your family to participate. If you are in need of a partial scholarship, please email maryh@embracetexas.org for an application.

Animals: While we love our furry friends, pets are not permitted in or around the group hall where meals are served due to allergies and safety concerns. They are also not permitted in screen shelters or other buildings in the state park- see the park website for additional information.

You will need to bring: We will email you a packing list we’ve created to help you plan.

Food: Meals will be provided from Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast. If you or anyone in your family have special dietary needs, please pack food accordingly.

Activities Include (but are not limited to):
