Embrace's 16th Annual Mom's Retreat

At Embrace, we believe in the power of community. When women come together to encourage one another, fellowship, worship, and share the foster, adoptive, or kinship care journey – we are all stronger for it. We also strive to be rooted in truth and grounded in love. Colossians 2:6-7  “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the father as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”  

This worry-free weekend getaway offers a meaningful opportunity to connect with others on a similar journey while earning up to 12 hours of training credit with any licensing agency. We intentionally build in time for rest and relaxation—after all, this is a retreat! Because we prioritize free time in the schedule, we ask that by registering, you commit to attending the main speaker sessions. Outside of those sessions, you’ll have plenty of flexibility to enjoy the weekend at your own pace.

Retreat Details

Dates: September 25 - September 27, 2026 

Location: Pine Lake Resort Cabins in Broken Bow, Oklahoma

Registration Eligibility:

      This event is specifically for moms who are currently parenting through:

  • Adoption

  • Kinship care (currently caring for a relative child placed in their home)

  • Foster care (currently licensed or actively in the licensing process)

Please note:  Individuals exploring foster care/adoption or who have not begun the licensing process are not eligible to attend. To help us ensure this event serves the intended community, registration is limited to those who meet the above criteria. If a registration is submitted by someone who does not meet the eligibility criteria above, the registration will be canceled and the registration fee will be forfeited and not refunded.

Vibe: Relaxed and casual - bring your comfy clothes! 

Cost: $285

Refund Policy: Register with confidence! If you need to cancel for any reason, you’ll receive a refund (minus a $25 administrative fee) up until 30 days before the event. After that point, registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Room Types and Tickets: There are two room categories (detailed below). Tickets and rates will be the same regardless of room type. Both room types require you to share a room with one or more attendees. You can indicate any roommate preferences during registration. If you do not have a preferred roommate, one will be assigned to you. We will try our best to accommodate your preferences, but it is not guaranteed. Please know that the terrain is hilly all homes have at least one flight of stairs. Our team will do our best to accommodate accessibility needs but you still may have to use some stairs or do some light walking (you always have the choice to drive between houses).

  1. Shared Bunk Room: This is a shared room with up to six people in a room - one person per twin or queen bed. You will have the opportunity to list your preferred roommates. You will have a shared bathroom. If you do not have a preferred roommate, we will assign you roommates. (photos for example)
         
     
  2. Shared King Suite: These rooms include a king bed and an en suite bathroom. While you have a private bathroom, there may be times when a common restroom is in use and we ask that you be willing to share yours when needed. This option means you will share a bed with a roommate of your choice. If you select this option and do not have a preferred roommate, one will be assigned. (photo for example)
