Embrace's 2nd Annual Campout

Howdy! You’re invited to join a warm community of foster, adoptive, and kinship care families as we converge at beautiful Lake Whitney State Park for a weekend of outdoor fun, fellowship, and adventure. During the weekend, you’ll be able to go at your own pace and jump in on any activities that sound like fun to you and your family. Please be sure to read through the following information before purchasing tickets.

Lodging Options: Choose the option that best fits your family. Some options require additional cost and requirements

> Tent sites include a picnic table, water hook up, 50 amp hook up, and a fire ring. They are near restrooms with showers as well. Bring your own tents & bedding.  

> Screen shelters includes a fire ring, screen shelter and picnic table. There are no beds in the shelters, so you'll need to bring your own bedding/padding. There are 19 available shelters- first come, first served. When you choose your family ticket, be sure to choose the one including a shelter, which is an additional $50.

>RV/Camper/Trailer Campsite If you would like to bring your own camper or trailer, select the coresponding family ticket. These sites include a picnic table, water hookup, sewer hookup, 50 am hookup, and a fire ring.

Animals: While we love our furry friends, due to allergies and safety concerns, we ask that you leave any pets at home. 

Your event ticket includes: your meals, snacks, activities, campsite, and state park entry fees.

You will need to bring: bedding and a few other basics. We will email you a packing list we’ve created to help you plan. 

Cost: 

• Family Pass with Tent Site: $150-This pass covers the cost for two adults/parents and the children in your household to stay on a tent site.
• Family Pass with RV/Camper/Trailer Site: $150-This pass covers the cost for two adults/parents and the children in your household to stay on an RV/Campter/Trailer site.
• Family Pass with Shelter: $200- This pass covers the cost for two adults/parents and the children in your household as well as a shelter.
• Additional Adult/Caregiver Add-on: $35- If your family needs an additional hand (grandparent, nurse, etc.) beyond the two adults included in your family pass, you may use this ticket.

Canoeing

Crafts

S’mores

Campfire sing-a-long & bible storytelling 

Nature hikes

Cornhole and other outdoor games

"Man Cave" Dad time

Food: Meals will be provided from Friday dinner through Sunday lunch. You will receive information on signing up to help serve or prepare some of our other meals and we appreciate your willingness to pitch in and make this a team effort. If you, or anyone in your family, have special dietary needs, please pack food accordingly. 

****This event is happening rain or shine. If you cannot go for any reason AND can find a replacement family, you my obtain a refund up to 30 days before the event. After that time, we will not be able to give refunds if you are unable to make the event.****
